Current Renovation Work to Alter Access to the Memorial at Normandy American Cemetery

Published October 28, 2021

This week, maintenance work began at Normandy American Cemetery to repair and renovate the drainage in front of the Memorial as well as repair the basin wall. This will require removal of asphalt and drainage of the basin itself. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November. At this time, the Memorial is only accessible from the rear of the Memorial, through the Garden of the Missing.

Cemetery staff remain on site to assist visitors during their time at the cemetery.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the cemetery staff.
